Re: Bass Pro Fly Tying Class- October
There will probably be another beginner class in February or March. I just have not decided when to start it. Also check the Bass Pro facebook page since they are announced there too.

Re: A little help please!
You are not keeping the rod tip going in a straight line. Start practicing doing side-arm and lay the line down each time (forward/backward) till you can keep it straight. Then slowly raise the casting stroke while watching what the line is doing. Keep going until you reach the upward "tilt". But th...

Re: Shellcrackers on artificials
Not sure if we talked when you were at BP back in May. But next time, try wooly buggers for redears. I tie them in several colors- black and olive. Those are some of my mainstays here and elsewhere. I have been trying to get BP to order them in those colors for several months. Stop in on a Saturday ...

Re: Anyone ever paddled the Slave Canal on the Wacissa?
As has already been posted, this is a fun day trip. The last time we paddled it, I had the luxury of having a point by point GPS map of the path from Goose pasture. It definitely made it easier to pick which of the braids to take. We also had downed trees to contend with. But it sure was fun. If you...
Re: SGI 12.0
You cannot go wrong with a clouser (white/green or flor pink/green). Dupree spoons or similar spoon flies work too. Pending the tides, a red/white seaducer or a popper. These are the ones that if I had limited time/budget I would use since they have caught the greatest number of fish over the years.

St. George
Pending weather may be headed to St. George late in the week. I have not been able to determine Water Temps down there or any reports of folks catching anything near the island. While I know my way around, wanted to know if anything has shown up yet.

Shell Point- Is the Ramp Built?
Does anyone know if the new ramp has been started or completed yet? I know all the permitting went through months ago and the proposal was to have it ready during the "winter". I have not been down that way for some time to check. That area, when the ramp/concession was at the boat basin, used to be...

Steve is correct. The gold glitter is the only one that Kevin's had. Need to find the Chart / Silver Glitter! Here is the link to the DOA site:

Triple tail fly selection
Tis the season for tripletail. Never having really tried to catch these on the fly, what are some good patterns? Since they are out there, I sure would like to try and catch one.
