Mosquito Lagoon info

Post by Fyrewalker »

Im planning on going to Mosquito Lagoon in Feb if I can get a campsite. Does anyone have some insight or tips for that area? Thanks in advance!

Re: Mosquito Lagoon
First off, beautiful place. Both Banana and Indian Rivers can be fine. Lots and lots of shallow grass beds. If you're taking your kayak, look at launching around Merritt Island- lots of good kayak put in places there. South of Canaveral is some very good water around the No Motor Zone.
Hope and pray the wind is not blowing hard- that can mess things up a lot. Titusville is a nice place to stay.
Check the schedule of launches at Canaveral- you might be there to see a rocket launch.
Hope this helps- Ed Mashburn
