Just wondering if anyone has been to HM since the storm, I have heard it is still closed.

Talked to the fish and game commission today. My contact indicated that the dikes have been pretty well destroyed as well as the ramps. Indicated that it would be several months before it would reopen. Figured it would get pounded pretty good.

I spoke to the FWC folks that manage HM yesterday. They told me that Coker Road (road that is the loop to the launches) is closed to vehicular traffic south of Schwartz Tram Road. That's the last road that runs from one side to the other of the Coker Road loop. They indicated the area is open if you want to hike back with gear. 1.5 mIles is a little far for me.

I will check back with the county folks the end of the week.

Did FWC did you any indication when it would be fixed /back open?

Seems like an "update" is inconsequential now. Nothing will change until it's totally rebuilt if it's that bad which could take years?
