Roll Call for Christmas Party - This Saturday Shell Point Beach

Post by Shorewalker »

Meet up early for fishing or a bit later (9:00 am) for storytelling. Bring your beverages (be discrete), potluck offering, and a wrapped gift (lure or similar). Everyone is invited.

Malinda and Greg will be attending.

I have been asked to bring some salsa and I will figure out a surprise dish as well.

It was a fun and festive gathering yesterday!! Great to see fine folks, chow down on some AMAZING food, and tease each other with some lighthearted gift stealing with the Dirty Santa gift exchange.
Tim and Steve were the hearty souls that fished at first light and again after the party. Thanks for the invite, guys. Sorry I didn't join you but I did get out today in the creeks and caught redfish all day long on topwater, twitchbait, jig and paddletail, and even broke out that Pistol Minnow, like Tim suggested, and caught a very shy but big hefty red up in the quiet skinny waters. Thanks for the tip! And thanks, Steve, for those clip-on tails! Can't remember what they're called.

Greg, deep thanks to you for organizing this event!! Great to see everyone!!

Thanks so much Greg for putting this together. There were so many folks I haven't seen in a very long time. For those who didn't make it, you were missed.

As far as the fishing goes. This time of year, I like to fish creeks with a freshwater source. Not something shell point easily offers. Still Steve and I stuck to the tradition of fishing before the party. Steve chose to stay in the truck until the thermostat rose a litle. It was stuck on 30 degrees when I launched alone. The bite lasted about 45 minutes. I caught 9 trout and missed about the same number. Then it was over. Steve arrived just after it ended. Neither of us would get another bite the rest of the day.

Thanks again Greg!! Lets don't wait another year to get together again.

C'mon folks, can't somebody at least post a few pictures or something? I'm sitting here in the midst of a snowstorm trying to find some ray of sunshine (literally or figuratively). A few pictures of someone having a good time in a warmer climate would be appreciated.

I have over 16,000 pictures and 200 plus videos clogging my phone and I'd say that 95% are fishing pictures. Lol. I can't remember how to post them. Wish it was as simple as the way I (rarely) do it on Facebook. Stay warm!!!! :A1

I can understand that. I used to post pictures from my Photobucket album but after getting a computer virus twice while on PB, I decided to avoid going there any more often than necessary. Haven't posted many pictures since then. I should probably learn how to post them without using PB.
