What's your bucket list fish.
I saw a thread on a Texas kayak fishing forum and thought it'd be interesting to do the same here. So....
What is the fish you'd most like top catch from your kayak. Prior to this past year I'd have said a Tarpon. I ended up with a crazy good stretch and jumped 6 ,landed 4 in a 6 days of fishing this summer. They were all good ones. That being said, they were all caught using live bait my next goal is landing 1 on an artificial lure. My other bucket list fish is a sailfish. How about you?

Re: What's your bucket list fish.
I've caught some massive Bluegill out of our region. I've caught so many that I know the difference between big and massive. Make no mistake about it, there are some jurassic Bluegill around here. And cornfed they are not. I still maintain that I caught the world record Stumpknocker but I better not tell that story. It sounds made up but it really happened lol!
My bucketlist involves more mastering a kind of fish than catching one. I'm still working on mullet in freshwater. I've caught some but mastered...no way.

Probably point you in the right direction on the snook and tarpon, but the sailfish not so much. I'd love to re-post this next year and say "Now that I've landed a sailfish my new bucket list fish is....".zeke392 wrote:Tarpon and Snook, in any order. Great pic from the Boca grande area!
I'm going to say my list includes Tarpon and sails but also a big snook. Also a big (over 35") bull red.
