Well the way I see it if it wasn't us it'd be someone else...Texas took most of it last year...to have a big bass contest pretty much means the farther. North ya go the the less likely you are to win. All that said way to represent crunch, art and jt me and dad looking to keep it going some more this month...with the new open format tourney talk on kbf. We will see who is the real deal soon enough. I see crunch and jt have put up big numbers already...and art is sure to bust 50 if the salty bug doesn't get em..lol..good luck

Nice fishes crunch ant JT.

I have been bit by the salty bug. But I'm still going to bass fish.
The real thing that will keep me from fishing is my second job.

On that note. I'll be at SGI tomorrow.

Isn't the ABC ruler you have in your boat on the list of acceptable rulers for KBF?
Also if that thing (hawgtrough) wasn't so flimsy and had actual died lines instead of relying on a sharpie I might already have one.
Another thing why doesn't KBF make the official measuring device the hawgtrough. Or include it in the yearlong bass pass.
Tired of the bickering. I'm with you crunch. Ordering one now.

Yea art im not sure why chad decided to add all the other measuring devices 3 years ago it had to be a trough type..and as u mentioned the first year they did basspasses the trough was an incentive. For buying the pass...with all the bickering. They will have to go to a standard ruler eventually and I to wish the hang trough weren't. So flimsy and all had black lines molded in as some did at one time. But the biggest thing is some folks have built up egos and think they are awesome fisherman. And they may be but some don't lose well...gotta find something to blame for why they didn't. Win...all part of it in a competitive environment

Yeah Crunch.looks to me like you have been shorting yourself at least a quarter on most fish.Like they say things in TX are bigger.Just didnt know they wre referring to the whiners and cryers. it will be something else next.IMO if it wernt Chad that PM you I would tell them mind their own business as long as you device is legal. You should just pm them back and ask why they get use live bait and use dead fish for measuring in TX. Bet that would get them riled up.Try not to let it get to you though.Just keep putting fish on the boards while we can.The lower it get and the more fish folks are carrying out the tougher its gonna get by the end of the summer.I was there yesterday and caught 5 that were 20 and one that was 21 half.there was 7 trucks there and only saw one other catch 1 fish but it was a good one by the way they were screaming and hollering. They took that one home with them.one guy said he was fishing for dinner.thankfully I think he went hungry that night.lol.One jonboat was out there thowing a castnet.dont know if they were after bait or trying to catch bass with it.The rangers need to be spending a little more time out there IMO.I would like to do a little night fishing out there but there are a couple big gators in there that keep showing theirselves that make me think twice about it. :D

The PM from a fellow FL angler who was encouraging and straight forward. He thought I wasn't using a approved measuring device. I told him I was, but my second thought was just to get the HOOK1 trough and move on.

I'm I stupid for fishing at night? I respect gators in Jackson and they respect me.

Them little 6-8 footers dont bother me.Its that big 10 - 12 that pops his head up every now and then that worries me.Its not the ones that I see that bothers me ,its the ones I know are there that I cant see.It shouldnt be a problem in the hobie and I guess andy could use my commander to get him out of the water some and be a little more protection.Gonna have to give it a shot soon I think.

nice egg shot, jt.
as for gators, i saw an absolute dinosaur at lake micco. most of the time they swim away or go under. not this guy. i had 3 barrels in him and he still went under.

oh, and by the way. i just spoke with the GNO outdoors dude who told me to go to gnodirect.com and pick out a prize for the "ride in the rain". they just got the full line of kistler rods. so at least there's more than doe urine to choose from now.
