New wading boots $35 Firm

Post by garydroze »

I wadefish a LOT, and have been searching for the perfect wadefishing boot for years. Finally found a cheap, light, sandproof one with good grip and a flexible sole that still wards off oyster shells: the PROMATE DREADNAUGHT (see www.promateusa.com). I ordered a size 9 and size 10, with the idea of returning the one that did not fit. Size 9 works for me. I'll sell the 10 for $35 firm (on Amazon.com they are $39.95 + shipping). Fitwise, you could be a 10.5 and still be okay; they run just a bit large. I'm an 8.5 and just wear thick socks for my size 9 pair.

Gary,
Do you think these would make good waders for launching/ landing in the winter? If I wore wool under them?
I'm very interested...........

Dave,
The uppers are neoprene/rubber coated. I intend to winter wade in mine with wool or neoprene socks. The tops come up 8 inches from the heel (you can see pix at that website). Gary

Yeah I checked it out but wasn't sure of sure of the overall coverage.
I will take them off your hands if you'd like.

Hey!

Just wanted to thank you gary for the footwear, they are just what. I wanted at the price I wanted to pay.
I wore them all over the house the rest of that day and they were comfortable and nice.

It was great to finally meet you...hope you got some dinner from your trip out that evening.
Thanks again!

Glad it worked out for both of us, Dave. I like mine too, and will probably recommend them in my next wadefishing article.

They were a grippy, comfy good luck charm Saturday; easily waded to a St Marks creek bend, where a 7.4lb 26.75" red earned me 150 bucks in the Inshore Challenge Tourney.

Let me know when your band is playing locally, and happy catching to you!

That is awesome! Congrats!

My band (and franks band, lunar urge) are playing this Saturday at the moose lodge in quincy. It is a cancer society benifit with a 'battle of the bands' motif. Poker run, dinners for sale, raffle..... whole nine yards. Be cool if you could make it to that.

If not my band's next scheduled gig is july 15th at outz's.

We are taking june off for vacations / out of town comitments.

The outz's gigs are ALWAYS awesome....so that's a good one to hang at too!

Hope to see ya soon!
Thanks again.
