Windows 10 is basically an unmitigated disaster in the fight to keep ourselves from being datamined(and results handed on a silver platter to the NSA) I'ts fairly simple for most anyone that's competent with computing. The most egregious data collection, the so-called "telemetry" data, can only be disabled in the enterprise version, but there's a decent workaround in there that basically blocks all the known host addresses that collect data. Someone spent a lot of time in Wireshark to find these and I'm grateful for not having to do it myself.
