If you live in the Buck Lake Road area.......

Post by Talltails »

The hail damage inflicted to that area has been a lot more extensive than originally thought. There are "storm chaser" type outfits roaming the neighborhoods and getting residents to sign "roofing and property damage contracts" using high pressure tactics.
If you want an honest opinion on your property from a local business and fellow angler, please consider giving me a call. I am used to dealing with insurance companies and can work with you on your claims. I have already helped several forum members navigate this process which has allowed them to get new roof systems for their homes at no cost or financial burden to them.
Thanks!!!

As a General Contractor, I can vouch for Jason.

I live in the Buck Lake area and I am holding a check from my insurance company to replace my entire roof. Now it seems the supply and demand situation have priced roof replacement well beyond what insurance companies are paying (double and triple in some cases). My house is single story, approximately 1800 sq ft if anyone knows someone reputable who wants this job. My roof is not in dire shape, so I can afford to wait a couple months for prices to come back to reality if needed.

I can also source the materials myself if anyone can quote a price per square for labor only. Thanks!

Being in the construction business, this is a warning sign! Too many homeowners think can do better than the contractor. You going to put the packaged shingles on the roof, you know how to lay them out so the roofer can work more efficiently, and resolve any scheduling issue with materials. I dont think so, maybe. And remember you get what you pay for, when you try to lowball and manage the job, you are only going to hire someone looking for a quick buck. Just my two cents :D
Dont think just FISH!!!!!!!!

Point taken, thanks. I'm just looking for a way to turn the dollars I got into the roof I need. Perhaps I need to gather more quotes and try to convince my insurance company I need more dollars.

Call me. I don't think we have spoken about your roof yet. My prices are not more than they were 3 months ago.

I just remembered this thread and realized I needed to circle back with the rest of the story. Last month my house got an awesome new roof via Callaghan Roofing at an unbeatable price. Thanks!
