Lighthouse. 8/12/2018

Post by RonHarrison »

Well, I sold the 2010 Hobie Quest and jumped ship (Pun intended...) to a new, Vibe Sea Ghost 130. Very different on a lot of fronts and have to get the setup dialed in for what I want, but I'm LOVING it so far!

The "proof is in the pudding" as they say, when it comes to a fishing kayak. Well, I was able to SLAY some pinfish and a couple of sailcats on my maiden voyage! Considering the only thing I am better at than that is getting skunked, I'd say it was a good day!

In all seriousness, though, I talked to a number of other kayakers and a few boaters who said there wasn't much happening on Sunday. Evidently, Saturday had been pretty solid around the Lighthouse, though.

I'll take a few throws on some Freshwater (Piney Z Lake / Lake Lafayette) next weekend and see how that goes.
