Anyone going to enter? I've never fished Talquin but love chasing specks. I have to check work schedule. I am going to really consider this one.

I wish we had more notice. This would have been fun.

Talquin is not an easy place to fish. It is a large lake with a lot of gators and a lot of stumps. If you fish it. I would fish around the Lakeview Point Rd area. It is near Ocklawaha Creek.

Re: Crappie USA Returns To Lake Talquin
gatoremt,
I understand Talquin is a big lake. Actually not used to fishing such a big lake. Came here from MD and we fished mostly smaller ponds and lakes. Plus the winter water temps here are actually very close to our spawning temps we waited for in the spring so I'm a bit confused as to where to even start trying to locate specks. Should I search around the creek mouths or might they be in the backs of the creeks and fingers? Sorry for so many questions.

In Talquin it is hard to tell. I would say the Lakeview point area on the Gadsden Cty side is a good place to start. The creek areas would be good place to start. I have not fished Talquin in years though.
