RAINBOW TROUT

Postby tallyfly » Mon Nov 21, 2011 1:18 am

Dr. Allee has re-trouted his pond. He has some big ones in there again. I am told they are catching some 5-6 pounders already. The rules are on our web site at fbbflyfishers.com. See the Hiamonee link.

Meeting of the FL Big Bend Flyfishers is tonight, 7PM, at Julies on North Monroe.

See you there.

Took my father-in-law to Dr. Allee's pond trying to get him a fish over the Christmas holidays. I was unsuccessful with that mission, however I landed a BIG trout on my 4 weight. She was bleeding, so I had to take her home. I noted this on the sign-in book and left a check. I would guess she was around 4 - 5 pounds. Although, it doesn't count because it is a stocked pond, she is the biggest trout I have ever caught.

Actually, she cooked up nice. She feed four adults with plenty left-over.

I grew up in Tally, but live north of Atlanta now. Come back several times a year to visit family.

Looking forward to come back down to town a do a little kayak fishing.
