I wanted to pull this thread back up because of something just happened to me last Saturday. A situation that has happened to me before, and one that I have been thinking about for a few years. Now, to me, a powerboat is a powerboat. They're all the same in making noise, etc., etc.; all complaints against any type apply to any other type of powerboat.
Saturday afternoon I hear an airboat coming up the creek. "Oh, great. He is probably going to cut right through where I'm fishing." This was an unfair assumption on my part, being used to the actions (antics) of those who run outboards. Now, this isn't the first time this exact same scenario has happened to me with an airboater. He came around the nearest bend in the creek where he could see me, shut down power to idle, turned around and went somewhere else. That is consideration.
This is much different from some of the antics I've seen outboard operators pull.
