New Guy From Valdosta

Postby YakinPolice » Sun Aug 12, 2012 8:26 pm

Hello, I recently got into kayak fishing and have been going to Jax to get my salt water fishing fix. I have been trout fishing for the past 4-5 years over in keaton and have always had good luck but I didn't think that I could get a kayak out to where we fish because its about a 30 minute boat ride. I am excited I found this page and am hoping by hanging around and reading some of yall go ahead and let your spots slip on where to put in at and where to fish. I hope to get to know yall and do swap some catching stories. I am looking at possibly going to spring warrior next tuesday if everything pans out.

suber makes it easy on newbies. He put together a list of "secret" launch spots in this thread: http://www.fcka.net/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1444

Welcome and good fishing to you.

Hi there! Welcome!
Like fishinbug pointed out there's lots of great info on this site to be discovered. Also, great fishing info in the previous and forthcoming reports. Look forward to your contributions to a great forum!

Welcome. Great launch sites already listed earlier. There are a bunch of good fishermen and women that regularly post great reports. Don't hold your breath on finding out WHERE folks put in though. Some readily give that info, but most hold that info close to the vest. Good luck, and keep an eye on the "going fishing" section. Most folks are happy to have someone tag along.
