catching carp
Does anyone know how to catch carp? any advice is greatly appreciated

Many years ago, the guides out on the Big Horn River (MT) would have an annual Carp Tournament in the lake above the river. I would get an invite to fish the tournament with a friend/gude who worked out there. I can remember that one of the most popular baits was a kernel of corn. We would also use a dough ball made from bread/wheaties. We used fly rods so the baits were on the small side. I'm sure you could go to some of the specialized websites for carp fishing and get a full answer to your question.

I used to make doe balls and catch carp, but hominy works too.

the problem with dough / bread balls is that they don't stay on the hook that well. we used to use bisquick, real sticky and ghooey.
