For me:

In the boat it's bare feet.

Out of the boat it's neoprene wading booties.

For the kayak in cold weather it's waders.

For the canoe in cold weather it's Panacea Nikes.

Count myself in that group. Been using them for a couple of months now. I've found them to do a very good job.

Rockport Classic Black Walker. They aint pretty but I have never suffered a cut below the ankle and you can lace them up tight once they are wet and the muck will not pul them off. They last about 3 years if you rinse them each time.
