Cast the Flats (CTF) Fishing School offers a introduction into kayak fishing. The class can be scheduled through The Wilderness Way by calling 850-877-7200. The class will fill quickly make sure you give The Wilderness Way a call. The fishing is starting to really heat up!


Cast the Flats Fishing School offers a introduction into kayak fishing. Our professional instructors are dedicated to the success of each and every class attendee no matter what their experience level is. Throughout the duration of class your instructors will be readily available to answer any questions and give further fishing instruction as needed. We encourage attendees to bring their own kayak and fishing gear for class but we will provide kayak and gear upon request at no extra charge.
Classes range from five to six hours, starting at 8 a.m.
We encourage catch and release during the “open fish” session but if a class attendee would like to keep fish, their group instructor will bring soft coolers.
Come to kayak fishing school with Cast the Flats!

Class includes:
Fishing kayak and inshore rod and reel provided but we encourage bringing your own
All tackle being introduced during class will be given to anglers to fish with during the “open fish” section of course.
All safety gear
Water and light snacks
What to bring:
Closed toed shoes and appropriate clothing.
Sunglasses, sunscreen and hat
Insect repellant
Waterproof camera (Instructors will be taking pictures during the class)

Cost of course: $125
