Instructional Kayak Fishing Trip

Hello, I'm new to kayak fishing. Don't own a boat yet but I'd like to find a an instructional kayak fishing trip. Has anyone had any experience with this group? I live in southeast Alabama and was thinking about fishing in the Indian River lagoon system. I'd appreciate any commentary. Thank you.

welcome aboard fishernorm. next weekend is a free kayak fishing seminar at Kevin's sporting goods in tallahassee. Check out the post in the general kayak fishing section.

Fishernorm, the Indian River is a long stretch of road from here. So don't expect too many locals to have been guided 8 + hours down the road frm here. Much of the group is based in and around Tallahassee with some influence further east and west. That said there are some local guides that can do a great job getting you off to good start. The seminar at Kevin's would allow you a meet and greet. And you might talk some of them into a guide trip Sunday, if you like what you see.

Look for the post in Salt water Reports from Lt FireDog around 9/3 called KARS PARK Merritt island. He fishes out of Ft Pierce/ Stuart and was meeting up with guys from the Orlando Kayak Club.
