Thanks, Liam. Always good to hear when someone finds my posts useful.

Does that mean I get royalties on anything you heard from me that you use in your class?

To expound on something that just crossed my mind:

For most folks "early in the morning" means around sunrise. And that is usually what it means for me ... but once in a while, "early in the morning" means any time after midnight. As in roll out of bed at 11 pm to go. Trout and reds feed according to when they feed. They don't care what time it is. And they hit all the same stuff at night as they do during the day. They don't have to be able to "see" a lure the way you and I do to nail it. They didn't spend 10s of thousands of years developing that lateral line for nothing, and we get to take advantage of that.

OK, met up with FSUKook (aka Jason) at Sun N Sand. After some knot tying and a few practice casts we were off. Alligator Harbor showed her ugly side with wind constantly changing direction and pea green water with a visibility of a few inches. However, Jason took to the kayak like a duck to water and after a grueling battle there it was, his first ever kayak redfish!

We only caught three reds, one on the line overslot, and of course the obligatory sailcats but had a great time on the water.

I think FSUKook is definitely hooked on this kayak thing now. The smile tells it all.
