posting pics
Im new to this forum and believe it or not new to computers too. I do my best to take pictures every time I go out but, I have trouble posting them on fcka forum. I would also like to post a picture for my avatar. Every time I try it says that the file is too large. How do I get around this? Ive tried many different pictures and get the same result(file size is too large) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Little boys and girls ask for just one more cast, I ask for a lantern.

To post pics:

To create a avatar shrink the pic until it's the proper size. Photobucket and other apps will do this.

For the avatar Photo bucket is usually required. Google photo bucket and sign up.
For fish pictures it is easier.
Before you do it, you have to download your pictures. Once downloaded, I open mine in Paint. I Crop them a bit to loosen up my camera settings, then under Image, click Resize, put 25 for both hor and ver usually works for this site, save the picture with a new name.
Back on this site, scroll down, see the 2 tabs, options and upload attachment, click the upload one.
Click Browse find your new version of the pic, add file, place inline.
Pretty much the same as a word document.
People with Droids and Iphones and such load directly with other mediums and it is easy if you have the savvy. For us, the old tech way works fine.

Re: posting pics
Thats me attempting to take a picture of me, my new kayak, and my first tarpon. As you can see I failed to get my kayak and only the head of the tarpon. It was 76in long and took on a ride that lasted 90 min and covered 1.5 miles. I was by myself and my arms were so tired that I had a hard time reviving the fish. It was bitter sweet. It was the first fish other than 2 sailcats that I had landed in my kayak. To top it off I had spent every afternoon for 6 straight days trying to catch one. When it died after spending over an hour trying to revive it it kind of ruined it for me. It was a couple of weeks ago and I feel better about it now but, I dont think I will try it solo again until I have a little more experience.

Sometimes fish die, it is better to fish for Tarpon with a buddy.
Now I see the fish, his eye is in the bottom right corner and you are holding his bottom jaw, that was a nice one. You need a 360 mount in a Scotty holder.

Yes I do. I have a camera but need the mount. Robbies setup is sweet. Hopefully next week I will have one. That would bring this kayak fishing to a new level of excitement for me.
