Native Ultimate 14.5' Opinions?
I've been looking at one as an upgrade to my aging jury-rigged Perception boat. It's kind of a hybrid, but I like the flat, open layout.

I happened upon a pretty sweet deal on one. Probably going to pull the trigger on it this weekend.

I have had a 12 & 14.5 I love mine. Lots of room. Would suggest a good sponge is all. Get paddle clips so you are able to leave your paddle outside of the boat. That will cut down on the water getting in.

My current ride is an old Perception 14 footer that I basically rigged out myself
It's FAST, but you can hardly turn around without almost tipping and if one of the 4 scuppers pop out, you are balls deep in water the rest of the trip. I fished it for almost 2 years in salt water, so when I go to a more stable boat, it's gonna be nice.

If I were you i would look into the commander from wilderness systems. I wanted to by the ultimate as well but you can upgrade your commander for less. It comes with a slide track system, a couple different places to sit, and I'm pretty sure the design is a tad more closed in than the ultimate for splashing around, also the spray skirts are cheaper too.
