Kayak wax

Post by OneTripletail »

Hello looking for suggestions on wax for my kayak. I generally only wash it off but bought some woody wax the other day. Not sure if I like it, my yak is real slippery. What do you guys use?
Thanks

By far, the best thing to protect your yak from UV and weather damage is 303. Call Wilderness Way for details. 850-877-7200.

The 303 is really easy to apply.

The spray is nice.. BUT, if you have internal rod holders don't let the spray get in there. I did and they squeaked every time the rod handle (cork) rubbed the side at all for weeks until it wore through the 303. It drove me nuts. Next time, I'll pack them with paper towels or something. If I remember right it was about 20 bucks at Wilderness Way. I've used it once and I should be able to cover the kayak a few more times with what's left. Also, if you can stand in your yak don't spray it where you might stand.
