Decided that a bust due to weather would be easier to handle if we stayed local. So wannado and I hit the lake at first light in an effort to beat the storms. There was a light breeze most of the morning and fabulous cloud cover, and at times a refreshing light drizzle. But the best part of the morning was the first light topwater bite. Absolutely outstanding!
And sadly, the last known sighting of the lure that caught my first 10 this morning.
Thanks for the invite jean, and of course for the in-flight meal.

Re: 8-29 jackson
First off,.....another set of artistic outstanding pictures!
Love the different angles and close ups. Wow. Taking notes.
I was 5 minutes behind bk in launching so I shooed him off while I finished unloading. By the time I reached him he had already caught 4 bass on a popper and within another 30 minutes he had a total of 13 in that one little cove! Crazy stellar!
We sure picked the right spot for the day. Lovely clouds, end of summer colors and amazing plant life. Birds flew through their sanctuary. Bass willing and able. The rebel popR in a customary shad pattern worked well. But I also had most luck on a weighted paddle tail that I could pull off the bank and swim through the vegetation.
Simply a delightful little morning adventure!
Most appreciative of the great company to share such beauty.
Thank you, brad!!

Great report Brad. Love the pics. I need to make my way out to Jackson sometime. Haven't been out there in quite a while.
