How's fishing at night? You use a headlamp? or only go on full moons?
I'm curious

Another super lunker! Way to go, Mike! :D

I dug out my measuring tape so I can get the girth measurement. Didn't have it with me last Friday night when I caught a big one.

New Moon, Full Moon, Quarters. It doesn't matter.

Jean, you don't need a girth measurement. I don't think you even need a length :?:

Mike, are you saying they only want to see the weight on the scale? I was thinking that maybe I could submit the guesstimated weight by just the length and girth measurements, without having to actually weigh it on a scale. Hmmm

The rules say it has to be a scale and photo with the option of sending bump board and girth measurement.
From the website:
1. Submit a photo of entire fish (head-to-tail, with nothing cut off) on the scale with the weight showing. Hand scales should only be held by the designated handle without touching the chain or shaft, nor should the fish be touched while weighing. All scales, including panscales, should be properly tared in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Supplemental photos holding or releasing the bass, close ups of the scale, shot of entire fish on a bump-board or tape-measure, and maybe a girth photo may also be submitted. However, the required photo is of the entire bass on the scale with the weight showing.
