Nice morning for fishing?

Post by BackCast »

I keep reading about everybody getting out to fish and had the urge to give it a try. I got up, looked out the front window and decided maybe it wasn't my best choice....

Not being one to give up easily I decided to get a 2nd opinion from the back window....

That didn't look to be much better so, as a last resort, I thought I'd ask the nearest neighbors down by the end of the house....

They thought I was nuts too, so maybe I'll just warm by the fire and try again in about 6 weeks....

There are people fishing around here but I never got around to buying an ice auger!

With age comes wisdom, my friend. Nice choice on the fire.

If wisdom comes with age I should be much smarter than I am.

It's actually a pretty day here with the sun shining on the fresh snow. Still, 17 for a high leaves something to be desired and I'd prefer to be in Florida too. I think it will happen eventually but for now I'll just have to be patient. Maybe I'll dig out the old fly tying vice tonight.

That vice will get you some strippers, but a vise may get you some stripers.

And either can get me in trouble if I spend enough time around them. Of course sometimes things can be worth getting in a little trouble for.
